If you noticed that your child is not learning, playing, growing, talking or walking like other children, the Early Intervention program may help. The earlier in life children start the program, the sooner they can learn the skills they need.
Since 2009, our agency has been successfully helping New York families to achieve full developmental potentials of their children.
To refer your child to the Early Intervention program, call 311. You can ask for First Step LLC. to be assigned to provide ongoing service coordination and evaluation for your child.
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a public program for children under the age of 3 who are either suspected of having or at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Eligibility for EIP can be determined only by state-approved evaluators under contract. All needed EI services for eligible children are identified in collaboration with the parent and must be authorized by the NYC Early Intervention Official. Our agency Service Coordinators will arrange for service providers, considering the individual needs of the child and family, as authorized by the NYC Early Intervention Official. Early intervention services are provided where it’s best for the child – in places such as your home, day care, or other community settings. When early intervention services are delivered in child care settings or community locations that require a fee, the parent is responsible for paying such fees. All EIP Services are provided at no cost to parents. Health Insurance may be used for approved services.
